How to Use Baking Soda for Acne

Baking soda is a wonder ingredient.  It can be used for so many things from cleaning your home, removing the smell in your ref and yes, you can use baking soda for acne as well.

You see, many of the benefits of baking soda is due to its anti bacterial properties.  It is inexpensive, it is effective and you most probably have it in stock at home so if you are having acne emergencies, you know that all you need is a pack of baking soda and you are on your way to having the clear skin you have always wanted.

So how do you use baking soda for acne?

Follow these step by step instructions and you will get rid of that acne which you so dread.

1.Remember to wash your face regularly – that includes moments when you come home late and all you want to do is to go to bed.  For ladies, going to sleep with make up on is simply not acceptable.  Remember, never use harsh soaps when you wash your face.

Yes, it will strip your face of unwanted oil and dirt but it will also make it overly dry.  That is never the way to get rid of pimples.  While people with oily skin are more prone to acne, removing your face of all oil will make your oil glands work over time and thus, make your skin even oilier than usual.  A mild facial cleanser is always the way to go.

2.Now, get your pack of baking soda for acne and add some water to it.  Put just as much baking soda to give it the same consistency as your toothpaste.  Now that your face is all clean, gently massage the mixture to your face.  Never rub too hard as this might cause your skin to get irritated.

Use circular motion too in order to stimulate blood flow.  Do this for about 10 seconds and then let the baking soda mixture stay on your face like a mud pack for another 10 seconds.  This will give it enough time to kill all sorts of pimple causing bacteria on your face.  After that, rinse the mixture with water.

3.Now that you are done using baking soda for acne, pat your face with towel in order to dry it.  Remember, you just exfoliated your face so do not scrub it again using your towel.  You will immediately notice how soft your skin is.

4.Now that you have cleaned your face thoroughly with the baking soda for acne, get calamine lotion and using a cotton swab, dab some in areas where you have a blemish.  You may leave the lotion overnight for best results.

5.In the morning, feel free to use baking soda for acne again.  Since it is all natural, you do not have to worry about overdoing the process.  In about a week or two, you will start seeing permanent results with your face.
